Visitors to ORNL (i.e. tour of facilities, discussion of potential research, seminar) must arrange with a host staff member the visit dates and visitor clearance. Note that non citizens must allow up to 14 days for DOE visitor clearance.

SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR HFIR USERS

On arrival a User expecting to use HFIR instruments must pass two short multiple choice tests based on the information contained in the following two self study guides that should be reviewed PRIOR to arrival.

• The HFIR General User Access Training Guide - information necessary to obtain unescorted access to the HFIR.
• The HFIR-specific Neutron Scattering User Radiation Worker Training Guide - information necessary to obtain unescorted access to the HFIR neutron scattering facilities.
